Reality: There are multiple fields that have the potential to satisfy our personal aspirations and professional goals, taking into account that people enjoy and define success in different ways.

With more than 2,000 options for university degrees and careers in Spain (not counting other types of studies!), it would be unrealistic to think that only one of them is the “correct” choice.

And the interests, values, abilities and aspirations of a person change and are different at 20, 30, 40 years old.

According to the above, the logical thing would be to adapt our professional career in line with our personal evolution.

Learning new things; taking on new challenges and changing environments and “careers” if necessary.

And yet, we continue choosing a career or studies at the age of 17 as if “our future” depended on it; as if this decision were something immutable, irrevocable, with no turning back…

At 17 years old I had no idea what career to choose.
